ABOUT StubHub
StubHub is an American ticket exchange and resale company. It provides services for buyers and sellers of tickets for sports, concerts, theater, and other live entertainment events. By 2015, it was the world’s largest ticket marketplace.
Type: Subsidiary Industry: Entertainment Founded: 2000, San Francisco, CA Headquarters: 199 Fremont St, San Francisco, CA 94105, United States
As @bossfan indicated Stubhub is a 3rd party site. Their fees to buyers have been running 25-30% of the value of tickets. They charge sellers another 10-15% so they are charging 35-45% on each sale. While there are staffing and web site development costs it is a great business to be in.
it sounds like you made a sale and we’re not able to deliver the tickets. If this is the case as per Stubhubs terms and conditions you are charged 100% of the sale as a penalty.
StubHub was founded in 2000 by Eric Baker and Jeff Fluhr. The company was acquired by eBay for $310 million in 2007, and again acquired in 2020 by Viagogo.
In most cases, tickets aren’t issued until 24 hours before the event. When this kind of delay happens, sellers have until 10 AM on the day of the event to deliver the tickets and fulfill the order.
Since StubHub is a marketplace where fans buy and sell tickets, we can’t accept returns. If you bought too many tickets, we recommend reselling them on StubHub to give someone else the chance to go.
